Tereglio’s geographic setting has protected it from the destructive development common in many of the towns of the Serchio Valley. The town has a unique elongated structure. Built high up along a steep and narrow crest flanked by two streams, it is located right at the entrance of the “Orrido di Botri” natural park where a stream has carved the solid rock forming an extremely deep and narrow gorge.
