La Fagiana

“La Fagiana” is in the historic centre of Tereglio, 550m (1800ft) above sea level in the midst of the luxuriant chestnut forests of the Appennine Mountains, 39 km north or Lucca. Tereglio is near the entrance to the Orrido di Botri National Reserve, and is a short distance from all the major interesting sites of Garfagnana and mid-valley of the Serchio River.

In these pages we hope to introduce you to La Fagiana (which means a female pheasant, by the way), but to fully appreciate it, you will have to visit. There is a lot to see and do in the Garfagnana, sometimes called the “undiscovered Tuscany”, so we are sure you will not regret it.
